The Spark
The idea sparked by Dev, whose family has deep roots in the jewelry industry. Dev had always chosen private jewelers over brands, valuing quality above everything else. He wondered: could we bring that intimate, private jeweler experience online? Jordan joined immediately, driven by the excitement of creating something truly special.
To test the waters, they reached out to their most stylish friend and asked, "If you could have the perfect pair of earrings, what would they look like?" Her response: classic 2-carat emerald-cut earrings with VVS, colorless diamonds—for under $1,000. A tall order, but we took the challenge. We ordered five pairs, promising ourselves that if these five pairs sold, we'd build a business around it. Within a month, every pair found a home, and that's how our journey officially began.

From idea to brand
In the earliest version of the brand, we called it "nocolor” a nod to what we wanted customers to know right away: we focus on the best quality, colorless diamonds.
We needed help turning a product concept into something lasting a brand with soul. That’s when Alexandra joined. With a sharp eye for storytelling, branding, and visual design, she brought LHUNE to life in a way we couldn’t have done alone. She helped us define the voice of the brand, shape our identity, and bring consistency to everything we touched.
Her expertise enabled us to articulate our vision more clearly, refine our designs, and launch the "Core" collection—thoughtfully curated timeless staples we believe everyone should own, crafted from solid 14K and 18K gold, using ethically-sourced diamonds.

LHUNE comes to life
With the foundation set, we finalized our transformation from "nocolor" to LHUNE. While "nocolor" was descriptive, it felt too narrow for the future we imagined. We needed a name that captured not just what we make, but how we want people to feel.
LHUNE is inspired by the Latin root for moon—lune. It symbolizes subtle strength, quiet beauty, and enduring elegance. The moon doesn’t need to shout to shine, and neither do our pieces. LHUNE felt expansive, poetic, and timeless—exactly what we wanted this brand to be.
We officially launched under our new name, bringing with it new designs, a refined purpose, and a clearer voice.
